Soon, a thriving hub of East Tennessee will have a modern condominium complex firmly rooted in the history of the area, says Rick Dover. Knoxville has been the home to the iconic Pryor Brown Garage for generations and, over the next 12 or so months, the former parking facility located at the intersection of Church and Market Streets will receive a makeover from the inside out. Here, Dover answers a few questions about this exciting remake of the beloved landmark.
Q: Is this going to be a senior living facility, as Dover Development is known for?
Rick Dover, Knoxville Developer: No, this will be an independent residential condominium complex. Keep an eye on our website, Dover Development.net, for information on condo presales. Currently, we are looking at an opening date of 2018.
Q: How will Dover Development ensure that each unit isn’t disturbed by noise from others?
Rick Dover, Knoxville Developer: We have a number of design engineers on staff and have taken great measures to ensure the building offers ample peace and quiet. Our first step is to start with an all-concrete structure and implement design plans and architectural components to reduce noise intrusion.
